No. While AussieAffairs is primarily focused on Australia, we also accept reviews from New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan and the United Arab Emirates.

Yes. Browsing reviews, creating an account and submitting reviews are currently free.

Do I need an account to read reviews?

AussieAffairs has a community ranking system that recognises members based on the number of approved reviews they have contributed.

Your rank is displayed next to your username and automatically changes as the number of your approved and published reviews increases or decreases.

How do I earn a higher rank?

Ranks are based on the number of approved and published reviews on your account:

•	0–4 reviews — No rank
•	5–20 reviews — Affan
•	21-39 reviews — Affan+
•	40-100 reviews — Affan Pro
•	101-200 reviews — Affan Elite
•	201+ reviews — Affan Signature

Only reviews that have been approved and published count towards your rank. Reviews that are pending moderation, rejected or removed do not count.

Question 11

Can my rank decrease?

Yes. Your rank is based on the number of reviews that are currently approved and published on AussieAffairs.

If one or more of your reviews are removed, your total number of approved reviews will decrease and your rank may automatically move to a lower level.

For example, if you have 41 approved reviews and hold the Affan Pro rank, but two of your reviews are later removed, your total will decrease to 39 and your rank will change to Affan+.

Is a user rank the same as being Verified?

No. A user rank and the Verified badge are separate.

The Verified badge indicates that an account has completed the relevant verification process, while the user rank reflects the number of approved reviews the member has contributed to AussieAffairs.

A member may therefore display both a Verified badge and a user rank next to their username.

Once logged in, select Write a Review and complete the review form with the details of your experience.

Useful reviews may include things such as:

•	Whether the experience matched your expectations
•	Professionalism
•	Anything particularly positive or disappointing

Your review does not need to be extremely long. Focus on information that could genuinely help another member.

Can I submit a positive or negative review?

Yes. Positive, neutral and negative reviews are welcome, provided they represent a genuine first-hand experience. We do not remove a review simply because it is negative. However, reviews must remain truthful, relevant and comply with our content guidelines.

Can I review the same person more than once?

Yes. If you have had another genuine experience with the same person, you may submit a new review based on that separate experience.

Each review should reflect a real individual experience rather than repeating information from a previous review.

Reviews are moderated before publication to help reduce spam, abuse, fabricated content and material that breaches our rules.

Moderation is not intended to remove legitimate criticism.

How long does review approval take?

We aim to review submissions as quickly as possible. Most compliant reviews are normally processed within approximately 24–48 hours.

Reviews should be based on your own genuine first-hand experience.

Can businesses, agencies or other people submit promotional reviews?

Reviews must represent genuine experiences and must not be submitted as disguised advertising or promotional content.

Can I include someone's personal information in a review?

Publicly advertised contact information associated with the profile may be included where relevant. However, private phone numbers, personal addresses, financial information or other non-public sensitive information must not be published.

What happens if a review breaks the rules?

A review may be rejected, edited where appropriate, or removed if it breaches our Terms, content rules or applicable legal requirements.

Can someone request that a review be removed?

A request can be submitted if someone believes content is inaccurate, unlawful, infringes their rights or breaches AussieAffairs policies.

A removal request does not automatically mean that a review will be deleted. We will assess the request and the relevant content.
